Shinto Nugroho

Chief Public Policy & Government Relations Gojek

Shinto joined Gojek Group in 2018 as its Chief of Public Policy and Government Relations. In her current role, she leads all of GoTo and Gojek Groups’ policy and engagement with public sector stakeholders including government agencies and ministries.

 

A seasoned industry expert, Shinto has over 15 years of experience as a lawyer and public policy specialist. Prior to Gojek, she worked at Google focusing on public policy issues. Before joining Google, she was the Special Staff on Trade Policy for the Trade Minister of Indonesia, and also worked for the International Finance Corporation and the World Bank in the earlier years of her career.

 

Shinto obtained her double undergraduate degrees from the University of Indonesia, and Masters degrees from Columbia Law School as Parker’s Scholars and the London School of Economics and Political Science as Chevening Scholars. Shinto was the recipient of SIF ASEAN Leaders Scholarship and in 2021 she was chosen as Fellows for the Eisenhower Global Leader Program. She represented Indonesia in the Future Female Leaders in the New Asia Summit in New Delhi in 2013 and was named as one of Asia 21’s Young Leaders in 2012.

 

Shinto also sits as a Board Member of TIFA Foundation, a nonā€profit organization focusing on open and equitable society.
